Construction of new driveway for Ipswich residence.
The owners of this Ipswich residence required a new driveway to be constructed between the fence and home and taken through to a new structure at the rear.
The top layers of earth and old grass were excavated and removed from the site. The area was then levelled and given fall to ensure adequate drainage of the finished surface.
Concrete edging was then installed and left to cure. Once the edging was completed, we then brought in a cement-treated roadbase. This was spread out between the edging and compacted.
The Completed Surface
With the surface prepared and concrete edging installed, we were then able to apply a machine laid asphalt to the driveway area.
The entire area was then watered down to ensure that drainage was correct and water runoff directed to the correct locations.
Once completed, the owner had new fences and gates fitted as well as planting vegetation down both sides of the new driveway.
