Carpark Upgrades for
Commonwealth Games
The Belmont Rifle Range is located on the southside of Brisbane in sunny Queensland. The centre caters for all types of firearms including pistols and clay shooting.
The car park to the Belmont Rifle Range was upgraded to cater for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. A larger car park was needed for the competitors, spectators and media. It also had to meet high visual standards for representing Australia internationally.
Cleanup & Relocation
Roadbase Added
The old bitumen surface was power broomed, water cleaned and all the potholes were filled.
The new area behind the clubhouse had a layer of roadbase added to give us a workable surface. This allowed us to shape the surface for a more acceptable car park facility.
A large water diversion hump was created at the back of the car park to direct all rainwater into a nearby creek.
The entire area of almost 2000m2 was resurfaced with Asphalt, Linemarked as required and a concrete shoulder was installed down the side.
Because of our track record working for Council and certain departments, we were chosen for this project and all work was completed within a short time frame.
